ROMA Boots merges fashion with philanthropy to give poverty the boot. Our mission is to bring impoverished children throughout the world hope, love, and lasting change through aid and education. Because of your support we have been able to donate over $10 million worth of boots in 33 countries around the world.

ROMA's ultimate goal is not only to provide aid, but to educate. By doing so we will empower impoverished children around the world to break out of the cycle of poverty and contribute their gifts and talents to society.

Our Founder was born in the remote village of Benesti in western Romania, Samuel Bistrian experienced firsthand the struggles of living in a Communist controlled country. Bistrian received his first pair of rain boots, passed down from his older sibling, when he was six years old . At the age of eight, the Communist regime fell and his family seized the opportunity to migrate to the United States. In 2001 , Bistrian returned to Romania for the first time since moving to America . As he witnessed street children trudging through the rain and snow with inadequate shoes, Bistrian knew he had to help. Upon graduating college, Bistrian pursued a career in fashion at Neiman Marcus, eventually becoming a Department Manager. In 2009, while working at Neiman Marcus, he met Blake Mycoskie, the founder of TOMS Shoes, and was inspired to create his own philanthropic company. Bistrian knew this was the most effective and practical way to combine his love for fashion and desire to help others, especially street children and orphans. In 2010, with the help of friends and family, ROMA Boots was born.

Why Rain Boots?

If your basic needs aren’t met, then your higher needs can’t be met. Shoes are an important tool in fulfilling one of those basic needs. So why rain boots? Rain boots are a necessity in cold and wet climates, but can also be worn in dry and arid climates as well. As a result of improper infrastructures, children are often forced to walk through harsh conditions without proper footwear. When children lack proper footwear, their feet are exposed not only to harsh weather conditions, but other harmful elements as well such as cuts, insect bites, infections, or parasites. Rain boots provide that protection. ROMA’s goal is to keep children’s feet safe and dry so that they can enjoy and live their life to the fullest!

Return Policy

Exchanges or returns are accepted and must be received back to Roma Boots within 30 days from the purchase date. You may choose the carrier of your choice to send back your item(s). Roma Boots does not provide prepaid return labels, or pay for Returns/Exchanges. Customers are responsible for return shipping charges. Returns/Exchanges must be undamaged, in unworn condition, with all labels still attached, and in their original box. For exchanges: Once Roma Boots receives the boots shipped back, you will be issued an exchange code via email to be used for exchanging your boots for the same style in a different size.
